Champaka to take over from Vaas

Former Sri Lanka fast bowler and fastbowling coach Champaka Ramanayake is tipped once again to be thefast bowling coach of the national team with Chaminda Vaascompleting his tenure as the bowling coach on April 30 ,2015 andtendering his resignation letter to SLC.

The former Sri Lanka left arm pacemanwho is the highest wicket taking fast bowler in both forms of thegame made his mark as a bowling coach when New Zealand hired him astheir bowling coach while touring the Island in 2012.

Many believed that Vaas assisted the New Zealand bowlers, specially the pacemen ,Trent Boult and Tim Southee in mastering the art of bowling in SriLankan conditions and helped them to beat Sri Lanka which promptedthe SLC to make him the fast bowling coach replacing ChampakaRamanayake.
