Hemas launches Idame Wasanawa fifth edition
A mock protest demonstration where a group of people amicably
'demanded' a plot of land from their representatives, including
ministers, took place in Homagama recently.
The skit was held to mark Hemas Manufacturing's promotion of its Diva
brand's Idame Wasanawa lottery draw.
Held for the fifth consecutive year, the event draws consumers to a
Diva 'promo truck' where they can double their chances of winning the
grand prize of a plot of land by filling and submitting a coupon, while
also winning consolation prizes, such as, caps, T-shirts and umbrellas.
Consumers can purchase a 400g Diva packet and send in their entry in
the form of an empty pack.
The promo, which ends on July 31, featured a 'Minister' who faced the
demands of the people for land, on the opening day.
The team handling the promo campaign will tour the island along with
a hyper 'papare' band to liven the drama on board the truck.
Three winners of land plots are to be selected on a monthly basis and
consumers who purchase Diva will also get a chance to win gold coins on
a weekly basis and cash rewards of Rs. 10,000 on a daily basis.
"Diva remains an exemplary brand in the country, touching lives.
As a popular detergent with a loyal consumer base, we have over the
years ensured that the brand engages with the people," said Brand
Manager, Hemas Manufacturing, Shanaka Fernando.
"Through this initiative, we aim at ensuring that our fellow Sri
Lankans from all walks of life are rewarded for being loyal consumers,"
he said. |
