The rape and murder of 17-year-old Vidhya and the
aftermath:
Punkudutivu is a small island of about 6000
people, located off Jaffna, in close proximity to Nagadeepa. It has
no jungles or dense forest cover for outsiders to hold up in after
committing gruesome acts of crime.
