Creating a great place to work

The success of an organisation is measured by its corporate performance, and superior corporate performance can only be driven by an empowered and passionate team. Exploring this topic, the Great Place to Work Institute will present their Great Workplaces conference 2015, on Wednesday, 10 June 2015 at the Grand Ballroom, Hilton Colombo.

Bringing together highlights from the annual best companies to work for study and exploring what makes an organization a Great Place to Work, the Conference shares the knowledge and insights accumulated by studying over 7000 organizations globally. This learning Conference aims to give the corporate community an understanding about how to create their own great workplace by sharing expert opinions, key themes, trends and case studies.

This year the Conference brings together a number of thought leaders and celebrated individuals to add value to the delegate experience. MAS Holdings Group Director, Dian Gomes, will be delivering the key note speech on Leadership and ethos of the corner man.

Corporate Learning Partners; Harvard Business Publishing will share their perspectives on preparing new managers to 'Ready. Set. Lead' and Presentation Partners, SAP Labs India and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will share their insights. The conference will also feature two case studies from Virtusa and AIA Insurance, on creating an empowered workforce.

The Great Place to Work Institute is a professional services organisation that helps organisations become great workplaces. Engaging in a greater mission of making "Sri Lanka: A Great Place to Work", each year a multitude of companies are assessed on a voluntary basis, most of which participate in the annual study which culminates in the production of a national list of "Best places to work for in Sri Lanka."
