FFSL President Anura de Silva happy on Blatter's win
The newly elected FFSL President Anura de Silva who was only selected
last week to office said that he was very happy of the re-election of
FIFA President Sepp Blatter as he is a person who helps developing
countries where the game of football is concerned.
Sepp Blatter is also a close associate of past president Ranjith
Rodrigo and the present president Anura deSilva was certain that more
support from Blatter will come for the development of the game not only
in Sri Lanka and for the developing Asian countries..
He has been assisting developing countries by providing them with
finances, technicalities and administration and no doubt that he will
help to develop football in the country in a big way.
Anura de Silva said that in the recent past the game of football in
Sri Lanka has not been so impressive with the national side losing to
Bhutan and Maldives, but hopefully the standards should improve and
should be a force to be reckoned with in the Asian region.
He declined talking on any controversial issues which Blatter has
been accused.
