Killer Whale Aquatics swept the board at the 2015 National Shorts
Course Swimming Championship winning the both men and women
championships held at the Hilwood College Kandy Swimming Pool recently.
The swimmers, who represent Killer Whale AC, erased six individual
national records while breaking eight relay national records out of 15
records broken during the three-day meet.
Killer Whales men's swimming team accumulated an impressive 338
points brushing aside Sri Lanka Navy (249.The champion men swimmer
during the last decade at national meets, Matthew Abeysinghe became Sri
Lanka's first swimmer to finish the 50m freestyle under 23 seconds.
Abeysinghe's outstanding performances helped him to be awarded the Best
Men Simmer in the National Short Course Swimming Championship 2015 while
KWA's Ishani Senanayake and Machiko Raheem became the joint women
champions. |
