Environmental organisations handover Wilpattu report to President

A report by environmental organisations on settlements in the Wiplattu Reserve was handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, yesterday.

The President has assured that he will reach a final decision after he receives the reports from the teams he appointed to inquire into the issue. Ven. Athuraliye Rathana thera, attorney-at-law, Jagath Gunawardena and representatives of several environment conservation organisations were present.
