Sri Lankan fishermen repatriated
Sri Lanka Navy assisted in the repatriation of 16 Sri Lankan
fishermen, who were released from Indian custody, recently.
The fishermen were handed over to Sri Lanka Coast Guard officials by
the Indian Coast Guard Ship "Rajtarang" at the Indo-Sri Lanka
International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the seas north of
Kankesanthurai on May 23.
The released fishermen were safely brought to the Kankesanthurai
harbour by CG 42, belonging to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and handed over
to Fisheries Department officials.
