Heal Yourself Everyday
by Neha Singh
Do you often you feel things are out of our control, as if your mind
is cluttered - cluttered with pain, anxiety, anger, tears, expectations
and heartbreaks. And then even if the tiniest of thing goes wrong, you
get irritated and lose control of yourself. Here's how to deal with such
a situation?
Keep everything aside
Yes! Just keep everything aside. Forget that you need to rush to your
office, hurriedly cook food for your family or have to prepare for that
important meeting.Rather just sit in a peaceful place and let your mind
relax. Deep breathing is usually recommended. But with personal
experience I would suggest just going on a walk or relaxing in your
garden will do wonders. It is like fresh air will be released into your
brain washing away all thoughts.
Set your priorities right
What exactly are you looking for? What is your present goal? Have you
ever thought on these lines?
It
is high time you start thinking about it. Instead of running after
things and people who are not going to have much influence and
importance in your life, think about things and people who need you, who
love you... work towards making them happy. But when you do this, do not
ever compromise on your own happiness and feelings.
As long as you do not give priority to your own self, no one else
seriously will.
I know that this is one thing which is very easy to say and difficult
to do. Brain is a very funny organ. You train it for a couple of days to
neglect something and it gradually adapts to it. There are many of us
who think that they cannot have control over their thoughts.
The fact is you can have control over your thoughts. You just need to
keep a watch. The moment you are thinking of a person or a thing which
upsets you - you can do one of these 2 things
Take one step at a time
Decide if the problem can be fixed? If yes take all the steps
possible to fix the problemIf the problem cannot be fixed, then just let
it go. Few things take time and get better on its own. You do not have
to brood over it, just LET IT GO
Instead of straining yourself, just start with little things. Be it
your home chores, office work or working on personal relations. Be slow,
be gradual. You will be amazed with the kind of relaxation that you
experience. And then gradually all the chaos will fall into order. It is
only when you try to rush over things that you get anxious and get panic
attacks.
And above all find time for yourself every single day. Your mind and
your body are the two things which will be with you until the end of
your life. And why is it that they fall in the list of most ignored
things? Once you start spending time on your body and mind - you will
see that it will gradually start healing of all the pain, anxiety and
negative thinking. For once, give yourself the priority which it
deserves and see how things will start improving in your life. |
