Colombo, Kandy and Matale champs

Matale Schools 'Golds' (boys), Kandy Schools 'Blues' and Colombo Schools 'Reds' (girls) became join champions at the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Nationals organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association played at the Sports Ministry Astro Turf.

The girls schools finals turned out to be an exciting affair with the match ending in a one all draw.

At half time there was no scoring.

In the boys finals Matale Schools 'golds' beat Colombo School 'reds' 5-1 after leading 1-0 at the breather.

It was in the second half that the Matale Stickers came into their own to score 4 more goals whilst conceding 1.
