Brayan Perera was able to secure a win in the Formula EFI category, which was held at Katukurunda Air Force Base. It was the first Tarmac Racing event of the year and was the kick-start to the AMRC/SLARDAR Tarmac Championship. Brayan Perera is 16 years old, competed with some of the most talented racing drivers in the sport such as Chandima Gooneratna and Clement Senarathna. In a nail-biting finish Brayan Perera crossed the line just inches ahead of 2nd place (Chandima Gooneratna). He was also part of the Mobil 1 team who were sent to India to compete in the Rotax Max Rooki Cup held in earlier this month. Brayan put up a stellar performance as he managed four wins on the second day of the event. He finished Overall 2nd in the senior category.
