Nawaloka Hospitals in Rs. 2.5b expansion

Nawaloka Hospitals held the ground-breaking ceremony recently for a 14-floor multi-storey car park and specialist centre adjacent to the hospital complex.

This is the fifth phase of expansion of capacity since the hospital's opening and will add 450,000 square feet of floor area with state-of-the-art medical facilities for each specialisation and 500 additional parking spaces with an investment of Rs.2.5 billion. Prefabrication work has begun and construction work is due to be completed by May 2016.

With design inputs from renowned architects and hospital planners, the facility will have designated zones for many specialties, making patient areas segregated for comfort and safety. When the building is completed, the hospital will have 900,000 square feet of built-up area.

The environment-friendly building will have several energy saving features that will reduce its carbon footprint, considerably.
