Service extension for Navy Commander
President Maitripala Sirisena has recommended three months service
extension to Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera from June 30,
2015, Defence Ministry sources said. Accordingly he will serve as the

fact that Armed Forces personnel can be subjected to transfers and
service extensions on the requirement of their service even during an
election period.
