EDEX signs MOU with Associated Newspapers Limited
The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) and EDEX, a social
enterprise of the Royal College Union, jointly signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) to strategically position the EDEX Magazine in the
market, and to attract more youth to benefit from reading its
information-rich contents.
The EDEX Magazine, which has been endorsed by the Ministry of
Education in 2010, is the only education and careers magazine available
to an island-wide audience, as a tri-lingual, quarterly.
The MOU aims to strengthen its circulation, as ANCL has a wider
audience through its portfolio of publications, whilst enhancing its
print and design elements, to attract youth readers.
More state-of-the-art features are envisioned in the near future, in
terms of promoting the Magazine through a mobile application.
The MOU was signed by ANCL Finance Director Emerick Fernando and
Chairman of EDEX Kamal Abeysinghe. ANCL General Manager Abhaya Amaradasa,
ANCL Managing Editor Special Publications Indika Kudahetti,
Attorney-at-Law Ashendra Siriwardana and EDEX Editor Dr. NandakaMolagoda,
while ANCL Company Secretary Kumudu Gunawardana also participated at the
signing. The signing took place at the Royal College Union Skills Centre
building recently. A new partwork concept will be launched in October
2015. |
