SLC wants school kids to cheer-off Sangakkara

Schoolboys and girls in the Southern Province will be allowed free access to the ground at the Galle International Cricket Stadium where Kumar Sangakkara will play his last match in the south when Sri Lanka takes on India from August 12 to 16.

"Entrance for all school cricketers and schoolboys will be free of charge for this special occasion. School principals are requested to inform their students to make this event a major success for this extraordinary ambassador (Kumar Sangakkara) of Sri Lanka cricket. School cricketers and schoolboys are requested to come in their respective schools uniforms to receive free entry to the venue", Sri Lanka Cricket said in a Press statement.

Sangakkara will play his last match in Sri Lankan attire in the second Test against India starting at the Sara Oval on August 20.
