JITF 2016 from Jan 29-31

The Jaffna International Trade Fair (JITF 2016), the largest exhibition and consumer fair in the North will be held from January 29-31, 2016 at the Municipal grounds, Jaffna.

The exhibition has grown to a 'must attend' event for businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs of the North. The trade fair comprises local and international stalls catering to a variety of needs and services. In 2015, the event attracted over 60,000 visitors. It is considered the single most focal point for a wide spectrum of investors and citizens.

The Jaffna peninsula has among its natural resources a community willing to harness and expand their potential through such events.

The infrastructure development in the region has also paved the way for many investment opportunities which could not be afforded previously. Roads, electricity, bridges and other core facets are being developed.

The exhibition will feature the construction industry, hospitality industry, food, beverage and packing industry, automobile, ICT, financial services, apparel, agricultural and consumer goods.

Many past repeat exhibitors have cited this expo as a 'gateway to the North'. Joint ventures, tie ups, large orders have been the highlight of business matchmaking between the people from the South and North.

An Indian business delegation is also due to visit the fair.

There will be many concurrent events during the 2016 edition, and will include musical evenings with popular artistes, road shows before the expo, a children's carnival and an amusement park.

The main sponsor is Ideal Motors. Mobitel is the telecommunication partner, power generation partner is Sicher and the beautycare partner - 4Ever. The official print media is ANCL (Sunday Observer, Daily News) and radio partner is Tamil FM.

Jaffna Expo will feature: Over 300 stalls ranging from consumer goods to industrial goods and services, All types of food and beverage, hawker type food court, Discounts on over 1,000 products, Hourly raffle draws, Seminars and workshops, and a Higher education pavilion.
