Information bank
An online internet information bank 'Knowledge Platform' being set up
by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote economic diplomacy will be
launched by the end of the first quarter of 2016, Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Dr. Harsha de Silva told the second meeting of the
Inter Agency Task Force on Promoting Economic Diplomacy.
The task force was set up to coordinate with various government
agencies and Chambers of Commerce to push the economic diplomacy agenda
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
NSB crowned winners at HR Quiz 2015
The National Savings Bank (NSB) emerged victorious at the Great HR
Quiz 2015 dubbed 'The Clash of HR Mega Minds' being the winner in the
Banking Sector Category and the Overall Category. Organized by the
Institute of Personal Management (IPM), the competition was held at
Hotel Galadari recently.
Forty five teams representing private and public sector institutions
including Sri Lanka Insurance, DCSL, Dialog, Mobitel, MAS Bodyline, AMW,
Pan Asia, Unilever, People's Bank, Bank of Ceylon, and Sampath Bank took
part.
The competition was conducted over five rounds. The NSB team
comprised Training Manager Saminda Weerasena, Ms. Hasini Gunawardena,
Ms. Harshi Chaturangi and Ms. Thilanka Mudalige of the HRD Division, and
Bhagya Panangala of the Risk Management Division.
Hutch teams up with Aegis
Aegis Limited, a global Outsourcing and Technology Services Company
entered into a strategic relationship with Hutch Sri Lanka to provide
Customer Lifecycle Management across Sri Lanka.
Aegis will provide a comprehensive spectrum of Telecom BPM solutions
to Hutch including seamless multi-lingual customer experience
management.

NCC seminar to promote heart fund
The National Chamber of Commerce (NCC) conducted a seminar on ‘Know
Well your Heart…and Bypass Heart Surgery’ at its auditorium recently to
promote the Heart to Heart Trust Fund which conducts free heart surgery
for the poor and the underprivileged.
A team of doctors made presentations on heart surgery, heart
diseases, and its prevention and care. |
