Media Minister plans blue print for Amaradeva Ashram
Mass Media and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Gayantha Karunatilleke
has given effect to his pledge to set up the 'Amaradeva Ashram', which
he made at Pandit Amaradeva's 88th birthday celebrations.
The Minister with his officials has held preliminary discussions with
the maestro. Efforts are being made at present to secure a suitable land
within the city suburbs to site the proposed institute, the sources
said.
Deputy Minister Karu Karanavithana, Secretary Vajira Narampanawe,
Rupavahini Chairman Ravi Jayawardena and Director General Sunil Shantha
participated in the discussions.
