SLT to empower highest GCE A/L achievers

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) will hold the Sisu Abhiman Awards ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat to empower learning by the use of ultra-high speed broadband connections.

Working in partnership with the Ministry of Education, SLT will identify the top 21 students who achieved the highest results at the GCE Advanced Level examination in schools across the island.

The top three students in each of the seven Advanced Level streams will be felicitated by President Maithripala Sirisena and receive SLT's ultra-high speed broadband connection package equipped with all devices to facilitate their undergraduate studies and empower their academic life.

The service will be provided free during the entire period of their undergraduate studies. Students will have the choice of selecting wired or 4G LTE fixed wireless connections.

Students will be encouraged to complete their higher education as responsible corporate citizens and broaden their learning environment.
