JITF 2016 from Jan 29-31

The Jaffna International Trade Fair (JITF 2016) will be held for the seventh consecutive year from January 29-31 at the Municipal grounds in Jaffna.

The trade fair comprises local and international stalls catering to a diverse variety of needs and services. Last year the event attracted over 60,000 visitors. It is considered the focal point for a wide spectrum of investors and citizens.

The infrastructure development under way in the region has also paved the way for many investment opportunities in the region which could not be provided earlier. A 60-member delegation from India is due to visit Sri Lanka to explore opportunities and investments.

Roads, electricity, bridges and other core facets are currently being developed to ensure the region is on a par with many business and lifestyle destinations in the world.

The exhibition termed as the 'gateway to the north', will feature the construction, hospitality, food, beverage and packing, automobile, ICT, financial services, apparel and textiles, agricultural and consumer goods.

The organizers will hold many concurrent events during the 2016 edition, including, musical evenings with popular artistes, road show before the exhibition, children's carnival and an amusement park.
