Lop-sided rugby

The pathetic plight of rugby in Sri Lanka could not have been portrayed in worse state as Kandy destroyed the oldest club in the country CH and FC by 78 points to 13 in a second round Dialog inter club League match at the Race Course ground in Colombo yesterday.

Kandy played in the absence of skipper Fazil Marija who took a well deserved rest.

Kandy scored as many as 12 tries to make up their points apart from the conversions while CH and FC scored one try along with two penalties.

Kandy led 41-0 at half time scoring seven tries in the session.
