Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan 106 (10 fours, five sixes, 130 balls) and left arm spinner Duvindu Tillekeratne – a match bag of 10 for 131, bagged the honours for Trinity College in their inter school under-19 cricket tournament match against St Joseph’s College which ended in a first innings win for the Lions at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy yesterday.

Trinity College: 318 all out in 71.4 overs (Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan 107, Nushan Weerasinghe 20, Savindu Amerasinghe 47, Dilan Jayalath 40, Shashila Dodanwela 47, Thisara Dilshan 10 Duvindu Tillekeratne 24 n.o, Thashan Perera 3 for 65, Sehshan Rodrigo 3 for 67).

St Joseph’s College: 172 all out in 40.3 overs (Revan Kelly 46, Sandaruwan Rodrigo 30, Vimukthi Peiris 37 n.o, Shevon Fonseka 27, Duvindu Tillekeratne 7 for 58, Ravin Sayer 2 for 53) and 283 for 6 in 80 overs (Kavan Kelly 67, Sandaruwan Rodrigo 36, Nipuna Sumanasinghe 87 n.o, Shevon Fonseka 37, Vimukthi Peiris 26, Duvindu Tillekeratne 3 for 73, Nushan Weerasinghe 2 for 27).
