Learning to say 'No!'
When children want you to so something you
know you shouldn't do,
you can...
* Think about what the children
want you to do
* Decide on why you don't want to or
cannot do it
* What could happen if you do it?
* Decide if it is wrong
* Say 'No' in a nice way
* If asked, tell why you decided not
to do it.

My cat
My cat loves me.
I know that he loves me.
When he says meow,
I can tell from his voice.
I know my cat loves me.
He purrs when I hug him.
He runs away sometimes,
But all cats need space.
And one time he scratched me,
But I just forgave him.
Cats don't understand,
How their sharp claws can hurt.
I know my cat loves me.
His tail is so fluffy.
His soft paws are chubby.
I love my cat too.

A lovely fairy
What do you look like?
Do you look like me?
I have eyes that sparkle,
And a dimpled knee.
There's a touch of freckles,
Upon my nose,
On my feet I have,
Such sweet little toes!
With a body slender.
Skin soft as dew
Please tell me that
I look like you!

My friend is sad
My friend is sad.
We're holding hands.
I long to make,
The sadness go.
We sit together
quietly.
I want to help,
But I don't know,
How words can heal,
What can't be real.
No one understands.
Why did life deal,
This painful blow?
With sadness,
We are holding hands.

Sand
This morning I found,
Some sand in my shoe.
I remembered the beach.
I thought about you.
We were summertime friends.
We swam in the sea.
If you find bits of beach,
In your shoe... think of me.
