Unruly supporters of St Joseph’s College behaving
like hooligans unbecoming of their school’s disciplinary image
ruined their much hyped about big match cricket encounter against
traditional rival St.Peter’s College who were deprived of a well
deserved victory,
Once known as the minnows, Bangladesh has come a
long way in T20 cricket and cricket in general and does not deserve
to be in that category any more considering the manner in which they
are playing at the moment by defeating the two strong cricketing
nations in Asia,
Ananda College were 55 for one wicket after
Nalanda College were bowled out for 197 on the first day of their
87th Battle of the Maroons big match at the SSC ground in Colombo
yesterday.
St. Peter’s College batsman Lakshina Rodrigo has
pulled in a big chunk of 1214 votes to enhance his count to 2077 at
the third week of the 38th Sunday Observer-Mobitel Most Popular
Schoolboy Cricketer Of the Year contest.
