Old Mazenodians take on Old Bens

An over-50 soccer encounter between Old Bens and Old Mazenodians has been arranged to be played at De Mazenod College Ground, Kandana for the inaugural Edward Jayawardena Memorial Challenge Trophy today at 4.30 p.m.

The fixture is to continue annually at Kotahena or Kandana according to the organizers.

Both captains in today's match, Chandrasiri and Payoe, captained their respective Colleges for the ANCL Trophy and the College Big Match in 1978.

Rev. Bro. Bertram Perera, principal, De Mazenod College will be the Chief Guest.
