Janashakthi high-fliers qualify for MDRT membership

Sixteen members of Janashakthi Insurance's Life Insurance Sales team have qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) membership this year, marking a milestone, as the largest ever contingent of MDRT qualifiers in the company's history.

The MDRT membership is recognised internationally as the standard of excellence in the Life Insurance and Financial Services business. The selected sales personnel from Janashakthi will attend the MDRT Conference in Vancouver, Canada in June this year.

Managing Director, Janashakthi Insurance, Prakash Schaffter said, "The dedicated efforts of our team of world-class insurance professionals have proved to be the principal force behind our sustained growth in the industry. We have always laid special emphasis on nurturing talent while investing heavily in training and development."

"We are delighted to see an increase in the number of qualified members for the coveted Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) membership.

This is a reflection of their passion and commitment to our vision of lighting the lamp of insurance in every home and workplace," he said.

Selected on their performance last year and their overall adherence to the association's strict ethical standards, the 16 MDRT qualifiers from Janashakthi include two star performers who achieved the First Year Premium (FYP) targets within the first quarter of 2015, a feat in itself.

Participating in the MDRT Conference will enable these high fliers to interact with and learn from the world's best minds in the business while showcasing Janashakthi's best practices and innovations to the world.

General Manager, Life, Sales and Operations, Janashakthi Insurance, Hashra Weerawardena said, "It is exciting to see 16 of our top performers qualify for MDRT membership this year. It comes at a time when the Life Insurance team's efforts have helped us post record year-on-year (YoY) growth of nearly 18% in Gross Written Premium (GWP) for the year ended December 31, 2015."
