IPM program on corporate etiquette
The Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), Sri Lanka's premier
professional body in HRM, will hold another training program on
Corporate Etiquette on Thursday, March 31 at the Galadari Hotel.
The programs centered around 'Personality Development and Corporate
Etiquette' and primarily targeted at employees who come into direct
contact with customers and the public will be conducted by Kumar de
Silva.
The course content is home-grown and crafted with a strong Sri Lankan
flavour in an international context, and consists of five detailed and
interactive segments - General corporate etiquette, Hygiene and
grooming, Cocktail protocol and wining/dining, Effective communication
skills and the international travel-savvy passenger.
CEO, IPM Sri Lanka, Dyan Seneviratne said, "de Silva will share his
wide ranging experiences, gained in Sri Lanka and France, to help
corporates boost their confidence, strengthen social performance levels
and charter their personal role in the journey to success."
Kumar de Silva said, "Corporate Etiquette isn't about holding a glass
of whisky or wine at a cocktail, or eating with a fork and knife at a
business meal. It's much more than that. My sessions immerse the
participants in a 360 degree head-to-toe experience which is vertical
and horizontal. To me, they are all unofficial brand ambassadors of the
organisations they work for and thus their behaviour and every move are
of critical importance."
Corporate employees are constantly being challenged by the rapidly
changing needs of the business environments they function in. "It is
thus of critical importance that the staff of every organisation is
endowed with finely tuned soft skills to enable them to stand out tall
and be the envy of their peers," he said. |
