Colombo International Theatre Festival 2016

The fifth Colombo International Theatre Festival (CITF) will be held from April 1-6 at the British School Colombo. The Festival will also see veteran Sri Lankan theatre personality Parakrama Niriella being felicitated for his decade long contribution to the theatre. The Inauguration of the Niriella felicitation will be held at the BMICH on March 31, with the distinguished patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Performances of the event will take place from 1-6 April 2016 at The British School in Colombo from 7.00 p.m. onwards. Colombo Theatre Forum is scheduled to be held from April 2-4 at Indian Cultural Centre, Colombo 07. The Forum will allow both local and international directors and artistes to meet each other and discuss present ideologies, trends and challenges concerning the threatre industry in general. Colombo Theatre workshops will be from 1-6 April at Indian Cultural Centre.
