Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Foundation (SJCF) Under-10, Under-12 and
Under-14 teams recorded wins against Trinity College Academy teams in
the matches played at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy recently.
SJCF won by 116 runs in the match against Trinity College Academy
Under-12 as SJCF captain Duvindu Silva scored 74 runs and took two
wickets including two well-held catches in the match, SJCF made 251-9 in
30 overs as Trinity College Academy team was restricted for 135-9 in 30
overs.
Earlier, SJCF beat a touring Bangalore Cricket team by 29 runs as
Duvindu Silva made unbeaten 22 runs while taking two wickets for six
runs in the match, which the home team scored 111-2 in 20 overs while
the visitors bowled out for 82 runsat CCC grounds, Colombo.
Against Mahanama College, Colombo, SJCF Under-13 defeated Mahanama
College by 52 runs. SJCF Under-13 scored 158-6 in 25 overs and Mahanama
College Under-13 restricted for 106-9 in 25 overs. Shiven Jayaratne hit
50 runs for SJCF.
