WiLAT Lanka plans future strategy
Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) conducted a Strategic
Planning Review Workshop on June 11 at the EFL Campus. The Chairperson
of WiLAT Gayani de Alwis steered the workshop.
Alwis outlined the journey thus far and the future plans of WiLAT.
The three Vice Chairs Anoma Ranasinghe, Niroza Gazzali and Dhashma
Karunaratne presented their strategies for Membership Services,
Membership Development and Branding and Promotion respectively.
The Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT),
Capt. Lasitha Cumaratunga and the International Vice President for CILT
South Asia, Romesh David stressed on the need to conduct more value
adding services to have a significant growth in the membership.
Vice Chairperson, Membership Services, Anoma Ranasinghe said, "To
enhance career success and keep the network strong membership services
needs to provide strength to members."
Vice Chairperson, Membership Development, Niroza Gazzali said, "The
membership development team is looking at the possibilities of
attracting new members while retain the existing membership by
redefining the value creation CILT has to offer."
Vice Chairperson for Branding and Promotion, Dhashma Karunaratne
said, "The branding and promotion strategy will be aligned with the
manifestos of membership services and development and will work towards
the overall objectives of CILT."
The strategic planning workshop conducted by WiLAT pinned down three
key areas - Membership Services, Membership Development and Branding and
Promotion. |
