Google MD at Economic Summit
The Managing Director of Google India, Rajan Anandan will attend the
Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2016 as a keynote speaker of the session 5 of
the event, which will focus on Sri Lanka's talent pool. The Summit will
be held at the Cinnamon Grand from August 2 to 3.
Sri Lankan born Anandan, who also heads Google's South Asian
operations has an impressive career record with holding top executive
positions at globally acclaimed entities such as Microsoft, Dell and
Mckinsey.
Prior to Google, he was the Managing Director of Microsoft India and
went into buildthe country's largest software business.
Chinese biz delegation due
A 16-member business delegation from China organised by the Beijing
Lansing Century Exhibition Company in association with Lanka Exhibition
& Conference Services will visitSri Lanka on July 29.
The visit coincides with the Construction Expo 2016 to be held in
Colombo.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be organising a Business Forum
followed by a Business Networking Event on the same day at the Cinnamon
Grand Hotel, Colombo.
USD Bond rated 'B+(EXP)'
Fitch Ratings on Friday assigned Sri Lanka's upcoming US dollar
denominated bonds an expected rating of 'B+(EXP)'.
The expected rating is in line with Sri Lanka's Long-Term
ForeignCurrency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of 'B+' with a Negative
Outlook.
The rating would be sensitive to any changes in Sri Lanka's Long-Term
Foreign Currency IDR. In February 2016, Fitch downgraded Sri Lanka's
Long-Term Foreign Currency IDR and Local Currency IDR to 'B+' with a
Negative Outlook. |
