Negotiations on FTA with Singapore:
Sri Lanka is ‘racing ahead’ with a new trade
agreement with Singapore, to be discussed by Prime Minister Ranil
Wickremesinghe during a visit next week, and is also working on
other trade agreements which could help make up for any losses from
‘Brexit’

dangers of using water in plastic bottles. This educational project
was carried out recently by the ‘Believers in Glass’ Movement in
collaboration with Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC and IOC.
The micro finance sector hailed the long overdue
and much anticipated Micro Finance Act (MFA) which will provide a
regulatory mechanism and the legal clout to the micro finance
sector, as a commendable move to develop a vibrant micro finance
industry in the country.
