Enliven 2016

Enliven 2016, organized by the Interact Club of the British School in Colombo (BSC) saw an evening of entertainment where underprivileged students performed alongside BSC students.

Every year the students of the BSC Interact Club work with underprivileged students and this year was no exception. It was heartening to see the students of the Navodhya Special Children's Foundation perform alongside the talented students of the British School in Colombo. It was an evening of music, laughter and fun that will never be forgotten.

Watching the smiles on the faces of the students as they danced their hearts out, left everyone wishing the night would never end. The myriad of acts that were performed throughout the night varied from magicians to pen-tappers and dancers, all performing with a common purpose: to raise money for the Children's Foundation. The money raised will go towards paying for their lunches, uniforms, books and their teacher salaries.

The Navodhya Special Children's Foundation is an amazing school that provides for the holistic education of these very special children with a great deal of care and sensitivity.

The teachers, led by Lacksmi Karunajeeva, are dedicated professionals who work for these students tirelessly.

This event carries on a proud tradition at the British School and it reveals the stellar calibre of BSC students. It showed that they are young people with an immense capacity for love and concern about their community.
