ASPI ends week bearish amidst foreign selling
It was an overall bearish week for the Colombo Stock Exchange amidst
foreign selling.
The ASPI closed at 6550.91 down by 0.78% compared to the previous
week with the S&P SL20 closing at 3584.93 down by 1.32%. ASPI recorded a
year to date loss of 4.61% as at weekly closure.
The turnover levels for the week increased by 6% and the aggregated
weekly turnover was Rs. 5.07 bn. The foreigners appeared to be bearish
during the week having recorded outflows of Rs. 1.84 billion; resulting
in a net foreign outflow of Rs. 656.4 million. The year to date net
foreign outflow stands at Rs. 3.94 billion. |
