CA Sri Lanka, Deakin University tie up

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Australia's Deakin University to develop and foster academic links between both institutions.

The MoU which was signed by CA Sri Lanka President, Lasantha Wickremasinghe and Deakin University's Executive Dean, M. T. Ewingallows to develop a framework to enhance cooperative relationship which will in turn bring mutual benefits to the stakeholders including students of both institutions. Wickremasinghe said that as a globally recognized professional body as well as one Sri Lanka's leading tertiary education providers, the institute is taking every effort necessary to enhance it's standing at an international level.

He said that CA Sri Lanka share close ties with some of the world's best accounting bodies as well as educational institutes. "We have signed an MoU with Deakin, which is one of Australia's leading and respected universities, in our efforts to provide our stakeholders with better opportunities," he said.
