The Edex Mid-Year exhibition launched in 2013 by the Old Boys Union
of Royal College Colombo will be held this year at the Sri Lanka
Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) on Friday and Saturday,
September 3 and 4.
The number of participants at the Edex Mid-Year Expo has increased
remarkably over the years to be a sought after event in the education
and career development sector in the country, said Royal College
Principal B.A. Abeyrathne at the launch the fourth edition of the
mid-year education and career fair, at Royal College Colombo last week.
"The is is an ideal platform for youth to obtain a wide exposure to
education and skills development to equip them for employment. Students
will gain insight into what skills are needed to meet the demand of the
job market," he said. "Skills mismatch is a major problem in the job
market. The exhibition is a platform for youth aspiring higher education
and employment to make a well informed decision. It is a one-stop-shop
for students to the world of education and employment," Abeyrathne said.
Royal Collegee Union Secretary Athula Munasinghe said the
'Entrepreneurship Zone' will be a new addition to the exhibition to
promote entrepreneurship among youth.
"There has been value addition to the fair each year making the event
a much looked forward to program," he said.
The mid year exhibition is targets post A/L examination students who
seek career and educational guidance. |
