Scouts show their colours

Sri Lanka Scout Association Colombo District Branch, organised the 51st Colombo Scout Camporee at the Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo recently. Over 2000 Cub Scouts and 600 Singithi Scouts participated. They took part in various activities. Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe was the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of the Cub Scouts Day.

Omar Hazari of Royal College delivered the welcome address and Varun Iriyagolle also of Royal College delivered the vote of thanks.

President of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, Srinath Guneratne, President of the Colombo District Branch, Brig. Ranula Rajakaruna, District Commissioner, Janaprith Fernando, District Commissioner, Suren Wickramatilleke, Chairman of the Colombo District Branch, Sukumar Rockwood and Assistant District Commissioner (Camporee Organiser) Upul Manil Ranasinghe were also present.
