Free Lanka Trading launches Mixology Challenge 2016

Free Lanka Trading Co. Pvt. Ltd., a leading import of fine wines and spirits for over three decades launched the 24th National Mixology Challenge 2016 at a ceremony in Colombo last week.

The contest is organised in collaboration with the Hotels Association of Sri Lanka. The preliminary rounds which include seminars and competitions will be held in the South, the Cultural Triangle, Kandy, Negombo, Colombo and the North East where students of various hotel schools are eligible to participate in the competition under respective regional competitions.

The semifinalists selected at the preliminary contest in each region will battle at the finals which will be held on October 22 at the Taj Samudra Hotel.The winners will be rewarded prizes, trophies and an opportunity to travel to France and represent Sri Lanka in the Marie Brizard World Championship in Bordeaux. Participanting in this event will bring them head on with competitiors from the rest of the world.

Free Lanka Trading Head of Sales and Marketing Asela Kumaranathunga said at a time when tourism is doing well events of this nature will boost the hospitality industry with skilled man power.
