Sarath Ekanayake CPCA president

Sarath Ekanayake, the Chief Minister of Central Province was
unanimously appointed as the President of the Central Province Cricket
Association recently. After his appointment a meeting was held at the
Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium office with the newly elected
members and the President said that the Central Province Cricket
Association needs a new programme as well as a development programme
with regard to the progress of the Association. He further said that the
financial activities of the Association should have transparency and he
should have a strict monitory system.
The Chief Minister, Sarath Ekanayake was also the president of the
Sri lanka Basket Ball Association for 6 consecutive years.
He was an old boy of St.Anthony's College Wattala, and had his higher
education at Oslow University,Norway and obtained a degree in Electronic
Engineering and a diploma in Building Constructions at the Technical
College Kandy. He was an English teacher and has served in the Norway
Scandinavian Air lines.
