Alliance Finance celebrates 60th anniversary
Current portfolio Rs. 19.3 billion:
Alliance Finance Co. PLC (AFC), one of Sri Lanka's oldest finance
companies, celebrates 60 years of service, spanning four generations of
customers.
AFC has a reputation for innovative and inclusive financing
solutions. Launching operations six decades ago, with only five
employees, the company today has 1,200 employees across the length and
breadth of the country.
Chief Operations Officer of the company, Emmanuel Muttupulle said,
"One of the greatest strengths that AFC has cultivated for over 60 years
is its strong bond with successive generations of customers. AFC has
contributed greatly to the uplift of marginalized communities and small
and medium scale entrepreneurs in every single province in the country."

AFC's current product portfolio in investment solutions comprises of
savings and fixed deposits, while its financing solutions portfolio
consists of leasing, hire purchase and gold loans, and its own
innovative collaboration finance product. Led by its Triple Bottom Line
philosophy of People, Planet and Profits, AFC has infused strong values
in its business that enables it to be a sustainable business entity, he
said. The company was awarded two bronze awards at the 2001
'Entrepreneur of the Year' awards for the concept of 'Collaboration
Finance' introduced by the Company's Managing Director, Romani de Silva.

customers with a portfolio of Rs. 19.3 billion through a network of 87
