24th Singer-MCA Premier League K/O :

Newcomers Dimo qualify for semis

League champions MAS Unichela, newcomers Dimo, Commercial Credit Finance and John Keels advanced to the semi-finals of the 24th Singer MCA Premier League Knock-out tournament yesterday.

MAS Unichela beat defending champion MAS Active by seven wickets in the quarterfinals at the P. Sara Oval and DIMO beat Sampath Bank by six wickets at the FTZ grounds Katunayake.

Commercial Credit beat Textured Jersey by 35 runs at the NCC and John Keells beat HNB by 155 runs at De Soysa Stadium Moratuwa.

Manoj Sarathchandra of John Keels scored 133 against HNB and Chathuranga de Silva of Commercial Credit came up with an all-round performance against Textured Jersey. League champion MAS Unichela will meet Dimo at NCC and Commercial Credit Finance will take on John Keells at FTZ Katunayake in the semi-finals next weekend.
