Richmond College Galle right-arm paceman Pulindu Kiriella took nine
wickets in an innings for the second time in the ongoing Singer Trophy
Under 13 division 1 inter-schools cricket tournament. Kiriella took 9
wickets for 32 runs in the innings against St. Thomas’ College Matara at
Hikkaduwa and followed it up with four wickets for one run in the second
innings for a match bag of 13 for 33. Earlier against St Servatius
College Matara at Matara, Kiriella had figures of 9 for 13 in an
innings. Richmond, St. Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa and De Mazenod
College Kandana won their matches on first innings.
