Jeevan Mendis captains Sri Lanka Schools Team S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinai's star batsman Jeevan Mendis will lead the Sri Lanka Schools Team at the BCCSL Invitation Quadrangular Cricket Tournament. The tourney starts on April 19 and ends on May 2. The Board's junior National selectors picked a pool of 41 players from whom the team will be selected: Jeevan Mendis (captain) from S. Thomas' College, Sumalka Perera, Lasitha Fernando (both St. Sebastian's, Moratuwa), Ganganath Ratnayake (Royal), Ishan Mutalif (Maris Stella, Negombo), Manjula de Silva (Revatha MV), Sahan Wijeratne (vice-captain) of Prince of Wales, Malinga Surappulige and Gamini Chandrakumara (Nalanda), Jeremony Saverimuttupillai (St. Benedict's), Kanchana Gunawardena (D.S. Senanayake), Gihan Silva and Nadula Wijeratne (St. Peter's).
