Ranawana interviews Anton Balasingham : Negotiated settlement only choice
Anton Balasingham describes himself as a medical miracle. "I have
a cardiac problem, I am diabetic and now I am living on a borrowed kidney.
My life is therefore short," he told me.Balasingham also has had a
varied life. He worked in his early years in Colombo, once as a translator
at the British High Commission, where among his colleagues was the late
playwright Sugathapala de Silva. He was also a reporter for the Virakesari
newspaper.
