at Oberoi

Reservations have flowed in fast even from London, Melbourne and Los Angeles for the gala 'Starry Starry Night' the New Year's Eve extravaganza dinner dance at Hotel Lanka Oberoi. Sohan & the X'periments, Nimal & the Equals with guest artiste the inimitable and charismatic entertainer Desmond de Silva who will be jetting in from London for this much looked forward to special will be in action.

A fabulous evening of entertainment is on the cards what with the three singers Sohan, Desmond and Nimal teaming up together on stage to keep the dancers on their toes till the morn of January 1, 2003 having enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and breakfast buffet. Desmond de Silva expressed the opinion that he is happy to be at the Lanka Oberoi this year especially since the Supper Club held a lot of successful memories and associations for him. He will be backed by Sohan and they have worked out some exciting vocals specially for the occasion, which will be compered by Sohan.

The X'periments will have as their female vocalist Yasmin de Silva and as disclosed by Sohan a fabulous saxophonist Greg Firth who will be flying in from Melbourne to blow groovy, funky chords with the X'periments. Nimal Jayamanne & The Equals will feature Kara Rodrigo as their female vocalist. Mohan de Silva F & B Manager of Lanka Oberoi said that tickets are priced to suit the purse and an array of prizes including airline tickets, vouchers - weekend and dinner for two, hampers and much, much more are awaiting to be won.
