Lanka Colts Cricket team in Sharjah will participate in the Ramadan tournament which is one of the most popular night events organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council. The tourney starts on December 6. This year SriLankan Airlines has come forward to sponsor the Lanka Colts cricket team in this popular tournament.

The 'B' team of the Lanka Lions Sports Club has been in existence for over a decade and has reached the final stages of many tournaments in the past.

The Lanka Colts cricket team will play under the banner of SriLankan Airlines Colts and boats of several former first class cricketers.

This year, the Lanka Colts team is captained by Sanath Jayanetti who has Sri Kanagasabapathy as his deputy. They also have the services of veteran Darshana Manamperi (manager/player) and talented allrounder Maxwell Labrooy who led the side last season. The other seniors include 'stumper' Channa Welihinda and hard-hitting bat Mihira Wijesinghe.

The side also includes some promising players in allrounder Zaman Jaymon, L. Milroy and Marlon Fernando who is in good form.

The SriLankan Airlines Colts team: Sanath Jayanetti (captain), Sri Kanagasabapathy, Darshana Manamperi, Maxwell Labrooy, Channa Welihinda, Mihira Wijesinghe, Niranjan Navaratnarajah, Zaman Jaymon, Nissanka Jayatilaka, Marlon Fernando, L. S. A. D. Milroy, Hans White, Jerome Schokman and Sumedha.
