IMEXPRO Awards highlights

The International Trade Fair IMEXPRO 2003 was held from March 30 to April 1 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre.

It was organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and had 143 stalls. The fair was visited by over 150 delegates and business personnel.

The highlight of IMEXPRO 2003 was the awards ceremony where six awards were given away. The special award for 'early bird registration' was won by Dankotuwa Porcelain Ltd while the award for the largest foreign delegation was won by the Norwegian delegation.

The leader of this delegation was Inge Reithau G. The winner of the best stall product category was MAS Holdings while the runner-up was Lion Brewery. The award in the best stall services category was won by Victoria Golf Club while Software Exporters Association was the runner-up.

The principal sponsor of the event was John Keells Holdings Ltd while the co-sponsor was Sri Lanka Telecom.
