Police beat Air Force 36/26

Police scored their second successive win in the current Caltex League Rugby Championship yesterday defeating Air Force by 36 points (3 goals, 3 tries) to 26 (3 goals, 1 try) at Police Park. Police led 24-7 at half time.

The scorers for Police were Asela Muthumala, Janaka Hewawasam-Nilusha Fernando, Nishantha Welagedera, Champika Thushara and Shantha Rohana with two conversions being made by Wijeweera and one by Sudesh Dissanayake. For the airmen, Suranga Arunashantha scored two tries, while Ajith Herath and Rohan Fernando scored one each. Ranjith Anthony converted three of the four tries. Aruna Jayasekera refereed. (L.G).
