Daya Perera re-elected President SSC uncontested

Veteran lawyer, Daya Perera PC will be re-elected President at the AGM of the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) to be held tomorrow (30). He will be uncontested. Beside the top seat, almost all key posts will be uncontested. Mohan de Silva (Secretary), Nimal Dias Jayasinghe (Asst. Secretary), A. D. H.

Ramanayake (Treasurer), J.P.L. de Silva (Asst. Treasurer) will be uncontested for the respective posts. It will be a clear mandate for the eminent lawyer Perera PC, who has done a good job to meet the aspirations of the SSC membership. SSC has gone from strength to strength under Perera's presidency and has a membership of over 7,000 members.

The outgoing SSC executive committee, headed by Perera PC, has recommended names of eight members for the new ex-co. They are B. L. D. Kariyawasam, Nihal Adhassuriya, Hiran Cooray, Ranjith Eriyagama, I. P. Gunawardena, Samson Silva, Tomy Ellawale and Anurudhha Polonowita.
