Lotus Ayurvedic hospital opens on July 26

by Pelham Juriansz

Lotus Ayurvedic Kendra will open the Lotus Ayurvedic Hospital in Sri Lanka on Saturday, July 26 at Polwatta, Pannipitiya (Pamunuwa Road, Maharagama).

The Hospital will be opened by the Minister of Tourism, Gamini Lokuge. at 10.a.m. It is the first of its kind by the Lotus Ayurvedic Group as a Ayurvedic Nursing Home with in-patient facilities. Services of ayurveda, doctors, medicines and therapies will be made available at this clinic.

The modern age of stress and strain, cellphones ringing and E Mails pouring in by the minute, deadlines, competition, target sales, budgets, bottom lines, financial struggles and also personal commitments & priorities..... Modern lifestyle has had numerous effects on the human body in terms of the prolonged stress it causes, both physical as well as mental. As a result more people than ever are suffering from sleep disorders, anxiety, loss of weight, hair graying, depression, and even heart attacks.

The fast life is exciting as well as overtaxing ....

The problem is that the present day urbanised food habits including the continuous usage of artificially prepared and preserved food, have also contributed significantly in increasing the levels of toxin in the body.

When these toxins accumulate over a period of time, they lead to various disorders such as arthritis, bronchitis, cardiac ailments.... etc.

At the Lotus Ayurveda Hospital the answer presented is in the form of an Ayurveda treatment, which is time tested and trusted as a medical system of the ancient Rishis. A highly medicated oil poured as an even stream on to the forehead, Herbal Bath- Thalam- Herbal powders and oil applied on the top of the head, -medicated oil poured in to a cap fitted on to the head and retained for 30 minutes are what they offer.

Suresh Kumar, Director, Lotus Ayurveda Kendra (Pvt) Ltd, speaking at the Press Conference recently said that in his hometown of Kerala, where Ayurveda is a religion and common in village households,it remains as a first option of the medicine even in this the 21st Century.

"Ayurveda is more popular than Western medicine and I remember only one instance where my parents took me to a hospital in my life, and that was only for a dental problem. So for us ayurveda is the first option."

"Lotus Ayurvedic Kendra has branched out into an investment of Rs 100,000 into this hospital".

Chief Physician S.K. Bhat said that Ayurveda is the knowledge which guides one to a better way to healthy life and longevity. Even thousands of people from Western countries have consulted Ayurvedic physicians.
